Program Guidelines and Rules
The MTA staff and volunteers have worked very hard to create a
program that is educational and exciting for students. We strive to
build Mentor and Mentee relationships with our students and work
towards academic success. This relationship requires respect from
both sides. Listed below are examples of a few of our rules.
1. We as a Program do not use the words “yeah,” “huh,” or
“what” when responding: because they lack respect and do not
reflect a professional relationship.
2. Students must bring completed Progress Reports (with
parent signature) on the first day of program each week.
3. Attendance is mandatory. Parents must call or
have their child bring a note excusing them for their
absence.
4. Students must wear program apparel or P.E. clothes EVERY
DAY of program.
5. Students MUST bring a reading book to program each day
if they have no homework to do.
6. All school rules apply during program hours.
